Harlan + Holden's new creative consultant shares her 5-day Manila travel diary.
Perhaps the most surprising thing about Caroline Issa is how closely she herself mimics Harlan + Holden’s store mannequins. Slouchy clothes in soft colors on the long, svelte wooden mannequins are the brand’s trademark, and it seems Caroline, who flew into Manila as their creative consultant, is a perfect fit.
Harlan + Holden has always had an exacting vision of their identity and aesthetic– a perfectly carved out accessible niche in the local retail scene– but with it has taken a step forward with its recent pop up tent at Greenbelt, panel discussions on creative branding, and digital efforts. Caroline and her partner in crime, TANK magazine founder Masoud Golsorki, after all, pioneered Fashion Scan, an app which seamlessly integrates print and digital with a simple tag scan.
A fixture in every street style photographer’s reportage, Caroline graces L’Officiel Manila’s July/August 2015 issue with a Dior travel diary. In this LOfficielManila.com exclusive, Caroline shares snaps of her short stay in Manila, proving that the Philippines is as global as they come.
