Considered as one of fashion’s “movers and shakers,” Caroline Issa is a familiar name to the industry and to fashion-followers the world over. As the CEO of the Tank Group, she is a respected fixture who has played many diverse roles. 


A graduate of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, the oft-photographed fashion plate first joined the company 13 years ago, where she also serves as Tank magazine’s Executive Fashion Director. Launched in 1998, the quarterly fashion, art, and music title has developed a cult following in the UK. In addition to that, Issa also serves as the Online Editor of Because London, Tank's digital sister publication that launched in 2009.

The self-described “businesswoman who loves fashion” has showcased her design aptitude with a successful capsule collection for upscale women's shoe brand LK Bennett (statement heels are her style calling card). In 2012, she was also tapped by Jenna Lyons to be the face of cool-girl retail label J.Crew.

Issa also does creative consultancy at Tank’s Form Creative Agency, which counts Tod’s, Hugo Boss, Nordstrom, and most recently, retail brand harlan + holden, among their clientele.

Earlier this year, the brand enlisted the expertise of the Tank Form Creative Agency. Gradually, the brand's creative executions were streamlined with the colors, font, brand logo, and symbol evolved by the agency. Their brand message was also fine-tuned, more clearly defining where they sit and the direction they want to take in the industry. “With today’s dominance of super brands, it’s a pleasure to work on a brand of tomorrow set to change the way we think about dressing and our wardrobe essentials," continues Issa.

In keeping with the brand's emphasis on balance, Issa's itinerary will begin on a relaxing note as the harlan + holden team takes her to one of our famous islands for some rest and relaxation.

Issa’s trip is centered around a Roundtable Discussion with pundits in the industry to include journalists, editors, designers, and other creative talents in front of an audience of fashion students. Tim Yap will be hosting. She will then proceed to a meet and greet with some of harlan + holden’s clients.

The rest of her stay will be spent visiting creative showrooms and boutiques to expose her to the best of Filipino talent.
